Click Here to Register Note for parents for 9 and/or 14 year old boy(s) In accordance with our mission, we aim to provide a positive recreational experience with a focus on teamwork, fun, and skill-building. It is our desire for our league to bless as many children as possible, while still maintaining team sizes that allow for enough time with coaches, and opportunities to bat and try different positions. At registration, please sign your 9 and/or 14 year old boy(s) up for your preferred team (9-11, 11-14, or 14-18), but please keep in mind that 9 and 14 year old boys may be moved up/down so that our league may bless as many boys with the opportunity to play as we are able to. Important Update on Helmets! Player safety is a priority. To comply with current safety standards for Oregon youth sports, Home Run League is requiring updates to batting helmets for 2026. Age 9+ Softball must have full facemasks on batting helmets, and Softball pitchers must wear a face shield. For age 9+ Baseball, all batting helmets must have a cheek/jaw flap (while maintaining the prior standard of double-ear coverage). Images for examples of acceptable helmets are shown in the parent handbook. Home Run League will be providing 5 helmets per team, so we are looking to purchase approximately 50 new helmets this year. Donations of new helmets are welcome. If you would like to make a cash donation towards new helmets, please contact our treasurer, Annie, you can reach her through the league email ([email protected]). Home Run strives to keep our league affordable, and does not require players to provide their own equipment (with the exception of a mitt). However, you are welcome to purchase and provide your own batting helmet or face shield for your player(s) if you choose. Please note that any personal batting helmet must meet these new safety standards or they will be disallowed. A reminder: metal cleats are also NOT allowed; players will not be allowed to play with metal cleats. About Home RunHome Run Baseball is a Christian homeschool baseball and softball league. Teams in the Hubbard area practice on Monday and Friday evenings; and teams in the Molalla area practice Tuesday and Friday evenings. All games are held at Barendse Park in Hubbard on Friday evenings. For many years Home Run has been dedicated to providing a Christian atmosphere for homeschoolers to play t-ball, softball, and baseball. This is a family league. All families are required to volunteer in some role for the benefit of the league, such as, coach, umpire, team parent, etc. The t-ball and super t-ball (Coach Pitch) teams are co-ed. There are separate boys teams (9-11, 11-14, 14-18) and girls teams (9-12, 13-18). Children 5 to 18 years of age as of April 1 are eligible to participate. Age brackets may be rearranged as needed depending on the ages and number of participants. |
